Janata Oil Mills, part of Mika Group, presses pure mustard oil from whole mustard seed at its own factory on Hatubhanga Road, Gorai, Mirzapur, Tangail, and sells it under two trusted brands: Tekka and Ghani. Nothing is added: no artificial flavour, no chemicals, no blending. What you get is the strong, sharp taste of real mustard that Bengali kitchens have cooked with for generations.

Many people assume soybean oil is the healthier option. In fact, mustard oil is among the lowest in saturated fat of all common edible oils, and it is a rich natural source of omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid), far more than olive oil.
অনেকে মনে করেন সয়াবিন তেলই বেশি স্বাস্থ্যকর। আসলে প্রচলিত ভোজ্যতেলগুলোর মধ্যে সরিষার তেলে স্যাচুরেটেড ফ্যাট সবচেয়ে কম তেলগুলোর একটি, আর এটি ওমেগা-৩ (আলফা-লিনোলেনিক অ্যাসিড)-এর একটি সমৃদ্ধ প্রাকৃতিক উৎস, যার পরিমাণ অলিভ অয়েলের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি।
It is also high in vitamin E and has a high smoking point, so it holds up well to the deep frying and slow cooking of Bengali food. Beyond the kitchen, mustard oil has long been used in Bangladesh for massage, hair and skin care.
এতে ভিটামিন ই-ও প্রচুর, আর এর স্মোকিং পয়েন্ট বেশি, তাই বাঙালি রান্নার ডুবো তেলে ভাজা আর লম্বা সময়ের রান্নায় এটি ভালোভাবে টিকে থাকে। রান্নাঘরের বাইরেও বাংলাদেশে বহুকাল ধরে সরিষার তেল ব্যবহার হয়ে আসছে গায়ে মালিশ, চুল ও ত্বকের যত্নে।
